Who I Want To Be: Proverbs 31:11-15

When I think of a godly woman, I have the best examples in my life. I see the pastor of my church, my dance teachers, my friends, and my aunt. All of these woman embody the meaning of a Proverb 31 woman to me. Yesterday we went over verse 10, but today we are going to go deeper into this passage, that not only sets a standard in these amazing women's lives, but also in our own. We are the next generation of Proverb 31 Women. Verse 11 says " Her husband can trust her,and she will greatly enrich his life." To me this means that in order to be a amazing woman of God you need to be trustworthy, and strive to help those around you become closer to God. When someone trusts you, that becomes a basis into building a relationship with them and being able to speak into their lives. Once you are able to speak into their lives you can help them become closer with God. For me one person that did this is my dance teacher. She taught me how to invest in people, and build relationships to be able to minster. She also taught me how to be a intersessor and pray for my loved ones when they are struggling. For me thats what is helping shape me into the woman of God I am becoming daily. Verse 12 states "She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life." This means to me that you love those around you and outwardly show that love. Love is an action that doesnt condemn, but fixes us. Verse 13 goes onto talk about how a woman of virtue keeps busy, can produce things and change things. When you are a leader this is what makes you a leader. You are wise with your time. As a woman of character we have to do something to change the world around us, and bring Heave to Earth like Jesus said in the Lord's prayer. Verses 14, and 15 go onto talk about somthing I need to work on that is so practical which is being able to cook. Lets just say that my cooking skills need a touch from God. I think this verse also means that a woman of noble character knows what needs to get don and makes it happen. She is a boss. Tomorrow we will go even further in! Prayer Target: Pray that God will reveal to you what you need to work on, also pray He will soften your heart to His comand, and give you the strength to push though and make the changes

1-  Are you trusworthy? If not how can you change that?

2- Can you trust people? When was your trust broken? How did it feel and why?

3- How do you bring happiness to someone you love? 

4- How do you keep busy? Is it easier to stay on task when there is work to be done?

5- How do you follow though with dreams? How can you translate that into the new year?

Who I Want To Be: Introduction

                             

As a young Christian girl I first found out about Proverbs 31 and I always read it since then. It has what inspired me to a woman after God's own heart. When I first started studying it was so difficult for me to apply, I was so caught up the terms of it, I was having trouble applying it to my life. For you guys, and myself to, I decided to break it down, and give examples of how to live like an amazing woman. I am no where close to being a perfect woman, or even a theologian, but this is what I got out of this amazing passage. In verse 10 the writer of the book of Proverbs who is King Solomon started off by saying "Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies." To me this means that a woman of virtue and a wife that embodies these characterstics is someone that is extremely valuable.A woman with a heart like God isn't easily found and something that isn't easily found is extremely valuable. I feel like that's what can Solomon was trying to say, when you give your heart to God you become rare. With rarity and uniqueness comes a value about you and that's what makes you so desirable and people can't  easily let go of you. Over the next week I will be breaking it down verse by verse, so stay tuned! Love you guys, and praying for you.

Justin's Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter Cups

                                          

Can I just say these are absolutely to die for!!! They are amazing! The peanut butter is so amazing, since it is organic there is a bit of oil on the top that you have to mix in, and it has not completely smooth texture about it. It would taste extremely good with Nutella on a sandwich. The only set back is the price, which is over 10$ a jar. The peanut butter cups are 10 times better than Reese's, and have a thick layer of chocolate on the top, and bottom. The peanut butter goes perfectly with the dark chocolate. You have to hunt for these though, hope you enjoy.

Look Up, Take It Off, You Can Get Through It

My whole life, I have struggled with the fact that I am not perfect. I do not have perfect hair,teeth,skin, or a perfect body. I use to look at myself and hate what I saw. My mind was a dark place. I was a mess. For some miraculous reason I decided to give Jesus a shot. I grew up in Catholic School, but when I was in 7th grade I switched to an amazing Christian school. Little did I know that that one decision would change my life. Throughout my time as a little seventh grader I found who Christ was and began to change. My mess became beautiful, I am a beautiful mess. I am covered in the grace of Christ. By all means I haven't had a easy walk with God. As a 17 year old, I have watched more people die, get sick, or leave my life. I have had my fair share of health issues, and I have watched my father almost die. People look at me and ask me "How do you do it?" I usually just laugh it off, but now I have an answer. In Daniel 3 we see the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abedngo. What happens is that the King of Babylon builds a huge statue of himself, and calls his whole nation to bow down to the statue. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abedngo were Jewish, and refused to bow down. The King was enraged. He had warned everyone before that if they would not bow down, they would be burned in a fiery furnace. He ended up telling his atendants to turn up the heat 7 times hotter than it normall would be. They were then bound up, and prepped to be thrown into the fire.It was so hot that those that threw them in were dead. All of a sudden the King looked back and saw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abedngo worsipping, unbound in the fire. But it wasnt just the 3 of them in the fire, the King saw that there was a fourth figure in the fire. It was God. God was with them in the fire. In our lives its the same. We get thrown into the fire, but Christ is with us. He is with us, even when we cannot see Him. Others can see Christ with us. So remember that thoughout the day, Christ is with us. So look up, let Him break off all the bondages ( That is what happens when you are focussed on Jesus), and let Him carry you through the fire. Love You!!!

Worship God, and surrender all to Him, pray for faith, and boldness to stand up to the world, and for His strength to stand up.
